The science

Range anxiety isn't a feeling. It's a planning problem.

The two biggest barriers to electric driving — where to charge and how long it takes — are exactly the things a good plan removes. Drive Charge Eat is built on the data.

The break is already in your trip

A 10–80% fast charge takes about as long as a meal — and 60% of EV drivers already eat or grab refreshments while charging, dwelling around 30 minutes near a restaurant. Drive Charge Eat stacks the stops: the car charges while you eat, and you leave rested with a full battery.

Anxiety drops when the plan is explicit

Range anxiety (55%) and too few convenient chargers (56%) are among the top reasons people hesitate to drive electric — and a lack of charging is the single most-cited reason unlikely buyers reject EVs (52%). The fix isn't a bigger battery; it's knowing exactly where you'll charge and how full you'll arrive. The app shows both before you leave.

AAA 2025 · J.D. Power 2024 EVC Study

There's never been more to plug into

Public charging passed 7 million points worldwide at the end of 2025 — up more than 33% in a single year, including over 2 million fast chargers. The hard part isn't whether a charger exists; it's finding the right one, in time. Drive Charge Eat surfaces live fast-charger data along your exact route.

Features

Built for the way you actually drive

Every feature exists because we hit the same wall on a real road trip.

Battery-aware routing

Charging stops placed automatically from your car's real-world range and battery — with accurate, per-leg arrival times (even through your own waypoints) and an arrival percentage you can trust.

Charge where the food is

Every stop pairs real fast chargers with real food — power, live availability, and the walk to your favourite chains. It only suggests stations with enough chargers, so the charge time becomes a meal instead of a wait.

Quick Charge, your way

Low or off-plan? Quick Charge ranks fast chargers near you by available power — filter by restaurant brand, see distance and ETA, set any station as your destination, or hand off to Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze in one tap.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How much does it cost?

Drive Charge Eat is a subscription: $4.99/month or $39.99/year (your local price shows in the App Store). One subscription unlocks the entire planner. There is no free trial.

Which cars are supported?

Most modern EVs — Tesla, Hyundai/Kia, VW ID, BMW i, Volvo/Polestar, Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, Nissan, Ford Mach-E, MG, BYD and more. Set your model once and the routing tunes to your real-world range.

Where does the charger data come from?

Open, worldwide charging data — OpenChargeMap, OpenStreetMap, and Apple Maps — with optional Google for extra coverage. No vehicle account or login required.

Does it work offline?

Cached maps and your last computed plan work offline, including a straight-line fallback if you lose signal mid-trip. Live charger availability needs a connection.

Do I have to use your navigation?

No. Drive Charge Eat includes voice navigation with CarPlay, but you can hand off to Apple Maps, Waze, or Google Maps whenever you prefer.

What about my privacy?

Your trips are planned on-device against open data. We don't require an account, and we don't sell your location.
