Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Drive Charge Eat is built to plan EV road trips with as little of your data as possible. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect. The English version is authoritative.

No account, no tracking

Drive Charge Eat works without an account or sign-up. We do not run third-party advertising networks or cross-app tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your personal data.

Location

When you grant permission, your location is used on your device to plan routes and find nearby chargers. It is not sold and is not stored on our servers.

Charging and place data

Charger, route, and place information comes from third-party services — OpenChargeMap, OpenStreetMap, Apple Maps, and, if you enable it, Google. The requests needed to show this data are sent to those providers under their own privacy policies.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us only anonymous, aggregated purchase and subscription-status information.

Diagnostics

If you choose to share logs for support, they may contain technical details about a trip. Sharing them is entirely your choice.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.

Your data rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing or request portability. Because your trips and preferences live on your device, most of this is already in your hands; for anything we hold, email hello@drivechargeeat.com.

Who is responsible & how to complain

The data controller is the publisher of Drive Charge Eat (hello@drivechargeeat.com). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority — for example the CNIL in France (cnil.fr) or the CNPD in Luxembourg (cnpd.lu).

Anonymized requests & data sources

Requests to third-party services are anonymized — no account, name, or device identifier is attached — and are not retained, so no personal data is transferred to them. Data sources: OpenChargeMap, OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors), Apple Maps, Apple Weather (weatherkit.apple.com/legal-attribution), and, if you enable it, Google (Powered by Google).
